The Friends of the DeLand Public Library

The book store hours are:
9:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday.

The Friends of the DeLand Library has honorably changed the book store name to the Louise Caccamise Friends Bookstore. Louise has been a devoted president of the Board for 20 years and has retired from the position.

Every current member of the Friends of the Deland Library Book Store is cordially invited to the annual membership meeting on Wednesday, January 4th at 2 pm in the auditorium. Along with updating news and summarizing the successful year, we will honor the following members:
Louise Caccamise is resigning as Board President after 10 dedicated years. Joyce Chester is stepping down as our bookstore manager and Membership Chair.
These two ladies have let a definitive mark in the community. Their devoted efforts have made the Friends an outstanding organization. Come to congratulate their efforts!

The Friends of the DeLand Public Library enjoy an exceptional position in our community. Through our volunteer efforts and financial support, our members foster literacy, education and lifelong learning. We are a non-profit organization open to everyone who believes in a strong library system.

What do the Friends of the Library Do?
We sponsor programs to enhance the cultural awareness of the community as well as focus attention on the Library, such as author lectures, book signings, book discussions, exhibitions and special programming for adult and young readers;

• Provide volunteers to run book sales and book store
• Encourage memorials, endowments and gifts of all kinds to further enhance the Library's services.
