Louise Caccamise Friends Book Store

In January, 2014 the bookstore was opened in a newly constructed addition on the northwest corner of the library on Howry Avenue. The addition was entirely funded by the Friends of the DeLand Library.

In January, 2023 the bookstore was renamed as The Louise Caccamise Friends of the DeLand Library Bookstore. Louise was honored for having the original idea for the bookstore building and for serving many terms as President of the Friends.

The bookstore offers a wide variety of donated books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles and other items for public purchase at bargain prices. The store only accepts cash and check payments.

The Louise Caccamise Book Store Hours are Monday through Friday 9:30 to 3:30. Closed on Saturday and Sunday

Donations

The bookstore accepts all books, puzzles, games, audiobooks, DVDs, CDs and records. These can be dropped off at the store location during the hours of 9:30-3:30 Monday through Friday. If the donation is a large amount, please park by the main entrance and the volunteers will assist. Arrangements can be made to pick up donations from households in the DeLand area.
